Skills Readiness Of 4th-Year Tourism Management Students For Potential Roles As Flight Attendants

This paper determined the level of Skills of 4th Year Tourism Management students to have a grasp on how ready they are for potential roles in the airline industry. The study will evaluate both the generic and concentration skills of students in Lagro, Quezon City. A self-made questionnaire will be used to collect data, with frequencies and percentages employed for analysis. This approach signifies a descriptive research design utilizing quantitative methods. The analysis revealed no significant differences between student groups in their perceived readiness for skills like communication skills, leadership skills, teamwork, interpersonal skills, food and beverage service skills, and safety and emergency. This suggests the program likely provides equal coverage of these areas for all students. Furthermore, the study found no significant variations in perceived preparedness for flight attendant roles when students were grouped based on their profiles. This indicates that regardless of their background or area of focus within the program, Fourth-Year Tourism Management students perceived themselves as equally prepared for flight attendant careers.
