
The medical tourism sector thrives as technology advances, meeting the global demand for healthcare. This has led to the emergence of telemedicine as a viable alternative option which led patients to greater access to medical care. However, it raises concerns regarding the quality of care and the absence of traditional interaction with healthcare providers and its impact on domestic medical tourism. This study examined the level of effectiveness of utilizing telemedicine among patients from the CAMANAVA (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela City) area and its extent to affect domestic medical tourism in the Philippines. A survey was conducted among a total of 386 qualified respondents from CAMANAVA. The study found that the level of effectiveness of telemedicine in terms of Overall Quality of Service, Quality of Communication, and Quality of Information ranges from Agree to Strongly Agree. Among these factors, the Quality of Communication obtains a higher level of effectiveness among patients. However, in terms of the extent of telemedicine’s impact on medical tourism in the Philippines, including factors such as Convenience, Accessibility, and Cost-effectiveness. The Convenience of telemedicine has a greatest extent in influencing medical tourism in the Philippines. Based on the results and conclusions of the study, the researchers provided recommendations to stakeholders such as, Local Government Units (LGUs) and the community of CAMANAVA, Hospitals and Clinics, medical professionals, other significant sectors, and future researchers. In which, may use the findings and consider implementing them in their practices for further improvements.
