Local Community’s Awareness on the Impacts of Ecological Tourism in the Municipality of General Tinio, Nueva Ecija

The research undertaken is a quantitative method. The study’s findings presents that residents play an important part in ecotourism, experiencing both positive and negative impacts, emphasizing the significance of community engagement for the industry’s sustainability. The study, which was conducted in a selected barangay in General Tinio, Nueva Ecija, found that ecological tourism has a moderate impact on the local community’s perspective regarding several physical, economic and socio-cultural factors. In addition, respondents are highly aware of ecotourism’s significance in preventing global warming and its economic benefits in supporting local economies. They underline the significance of a sustainable tourism framework for both tourists and residents, emphasizing the importance of long-term practices for attraction success and development. In conclusion, the study indicates that the community’s understanding and support for sustainable ecotourism methods is essential for tourism’s sustainability and development.
