
This study aims to determine the potential economic and socio-cultural opportunities necessary to obtain the sustainable tourism development of Ilug Kamalig as an Emerging Ecotourism destination in the municipality of Porac, Pampanga.
In this quantitative study, the collected data will be continually and categorically analyzed using descriptive statistics including Percentage, Verbal interpretation, and Mean. A numerical analysis of the gathered data using traditional pen and paper survey questionnaires from sixty participants, tourists in Ilug Kamalig coming from Porac and nearby cities and provinces. The study showed the importance of Ecotourism in terms of economic and socio-cultural as a form of sustainable tourism that helps both locals and tourists by preserving natural and cultural sites while also promoting the conservation of natural resources, the preservation of cultural traditions, indigenous ways of life, environmental protection, and economic growth. The solicitude of the people for the environment paved the way for the development of this place, and through the years it evolved and focused on continuously protecting the area by giving sharper attention to encouraging tourists to be responsible when traveling and able to restore and conserve to be able to sustain its natural beauty.
This study confirmed that there is plenty of benefits an attraction can give to locals where it is located and the residents or locals are responsible for grabbing available opportunities and turning them into significant change which can contribute to the sustainable development of the attraction, also, through the help of the proposed marketing plan to support the personnel and LGU on discovering unique products and services that can offer to tourists and exploring on how to effectively promote the place and culture of Porac to give the best experience and make them return especially when everything is tiring them out
