The Venice Grand Canal in Taguig City has become a prominent urban tourism attraction, contributing significantly to the city’s evolving tourism landscape. Modeled after the historic canals of Venice, Italy, the development integrates themed architecture, recreational activities, and commercial establishments, positioning it as a key driver of experiential tourism. This study examines the factors contributing to the increasing popularity of the Venice Grand Canal and assesses its impact on tourism development in Taguig. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, the research evaluates trends in visitor engagement, economic contributions, and destination branding. The findings indicate that the attraction enhances tourist inflow, stimulates local economic activity through increased spending and employment opportunities, and strengthens Taguig’s image as a competitive urban tourism destination. However, the study also identifies challenges related to visitor management, environmental sustainability, and cultural authenticity. The research underscores the importance of strategic planning and sustainable tourism practices to maximize long-term benefits while mitigating potential negative impacts. The study contributes to existing tourism literature by highlighting the role of themed urban attractions in contemporary tourism development.
