Motivation might be extrinsic through which a person is inspired by an external force and it can also be intrinsic whereby the inspiration comes from within. One of the most important for students to make is which courses to specialize in, as this will enable them to reach their objectives without interference with others’ opinions. This paper determines the attitude and motivation of hospitality management students toward learning specialization courses. A total of 100 respondents were gathered in this study, who are enrolled in the College of Hospitality and Institutional Management at Our Lady of Fatima University – Valenzuela Campus. Quantitative Research was used to quantify attitudes, opinions, behaviors, and other defined variables and generalize results from a larger sample population. Purposive sampling techniques were used to select participants that can provide information to achieve the objectives of the study. Analysis showed that 53% of the respondents are female, 40% are fourth-year students while for the course specialization, 40% are culinary arts. The result of this study also showed that the student’s course specializations are interesting and have a significant effect on their general education. Moreover, choosing a career is a crucial point but a variety of jobs create flexibility and adaptability that allow students to excel and fulfill their dream goals. This study revealed that there is a significant difference between attitude and motivation in learning course specialization. This paper concludes that every individual has their own goal and interest that gives motivation while individual learning involve attitudes.
