
This study shows how technological innovation is important in choosing tourist destinations. This study aims to specify the roles of selection of products, easy access to information, effective tools to attract customers, increase accuracy and convenience and provide key updates in the tourism industry, which help to improve operation and importance in buying decisions of tourists. The 80 respondents, all of which are currently studying in Our Lady of Fatima University from first year to fourth year students, were distributed with surveys generated by the researchers selected through simple random sampling. The questionnaires include the demographic profile of the respondents and their preference when using technological innovations in choosing tourist destinations. Therefore, this research paper will discuss the importance of technological innovation in choosing tourist destinations. The writing of this paper is based on research focusing on the use of five (5) technological innovations which are virtual queues, mobile apps, virtual tours, chatbots and online review in choosing tourist destinations from 2022 to date. The findings of the study indicate that there is an importance in using these technological innovations. Thus, this study will further illustrate the ranking of importance of using technological innovation in choosing tourist destinations. At the end of the study, the researchers found out that technological innovation has a dominance to boost the tourist destination using technological innovation and the hypothesis shows that there is no significance relationship in using technological innovation in choosing tourist destination in terms of age, gender, and year level.
