Perception and Satisfaction of Hospitality and Institutional Management Students Towards the Quality of Online Learning in Our Lady of Fatima University – Nueva Ecija Campus

This study determined the students’ perceptions and satisfaction with online learning quality. Using a descriptive type of research, the identification of students’ perceptions and satisfactions was completed. Cross-sectional survey questionnaires were distributed via Google forms to Hospitality and Institutional Managements students at Our Lady of Fatima University-Nueva Ecija Campus. 176 students from CHIM department were chosen using a purposive type of non-probability sampling technique. The questionnaire was divided into three major sections: respondent demographic profile, student perception, and student satisfaction. The results show that the respondents are mostly female, majority are between the ages of 19 and 20, dominated by BSTM-TTO, and have a family income ranging from 8,000 php to 13,000 php. The results clearly present that the majority of students agree that all of the statements under perception are how they perceive quality online learning. They are also satisfied with all the sub-variables under satisfaction, which are availability and sustainability, teaching method, communication and relationship, and learning management system, with the learning management system ranking highest with M=3.21. It has also been discovered that students’ perceptions and satisfaction have no significant relationship with their demographic profile. As a result, in terms of perceptions, online learning has had a positive impact on the lives of students, and students in the CHIM department are satisfied with the current online learning program. It is concluded that the null hypothesis is accepted since the findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between the respondents’ perception and satisfaction and their demographic profile.
