
This study investigates strategic approaches to sustaining the long-term growth of small retailers
in Commonwealth, Quezon City, amid a rapidly evolving retail environment. Small retailers
face increasing challenges from e-commerce, consumer expectations for personalized
experiences, and technological advancements, all of which demand adaptation and innovation.
These challenges, coupled with limited resources, necessitate a targeted approach to staying
competitive in a landscape dominated by larger enterprises. The research aims to identify
effective strategies that small retailers can adopt to enhance their resilience and growth, focusing
on areas such as market diversification, digital transformation, customer
relationship
management, operational efficiency, effective marketing, and brand building.
Additionally, it seeks to assess the impact of demographic factors, business challenges like
limited capital and intense competition, and how these factors correlate with the retailers’ ability
to achieve sustainable growth. Utilizing a mixed-methods approach, the study analyzes how
small retailers measure long-term growth in terms of revenue growth, customer retention, and
market expansion. Findings are expected to provide actionable insights that local business
owners, policymakers, and economic development organizations can leverage to foster a robust
retail environment within Commonwealth, Quezon City. This study contributes to the body of
knowledge by offering a strategic roadmap for small retailers, helping them navigate the
complex dynamics of today’s retail landscape while securing their competitive position and growth for the future.
